Comtech Receives $1.9-M Orders for Satellite Data Communications Transceivers |

MELVILLE, N.Y., Dec. 15, 2006/Satnews Daily/ ― Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NASDAQ:CMTL) has announced that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation, received orders totaling $1.9 million for its mobile satellite data communications transceivers.
Comtech said the orders are for the supply of the company’s Model 2011E mobile satellite data transceivers to the Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below – Blue Force Tracking (FBCB2-BFT) program, a battle command real-time situational awareness and control system.
Although the awards relate to the FBCB2-BFT Program, the orders were placed against the company’s U.S. Army Movement Tracking System Contract. Comtech said total orders received to date against its $418.2 million MTS contract increased to $357.5 million.
