Comtech Receives $2.4-M Orders for Mobile Satellite Terminal Equipment and Technical Support Services

 

MELVILLE, N.Y., Nov. 22, 2006/Satnews Daily/ ― Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NASDAQ:CMTL) has announced that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation, received orders totaling $2.4 million in support of ongoing Movement Tracking System Program activities. The orders were received on the Company’s Movement Tracking System, or MTS, contract with the U.S. Army.

 

Comtech said the orders are primarily for the supply of installation kits and technical support services. Total orders received to date against the $418.2 million MTS contract increased to $355.6 million.

 

Fred Kornberg, president and CEO of Comtech, said, “These new orders demonstrate the importance our technical service and support capabilities play in meeting this critical program's requirements.”
