Radyne's Tiernan Division Receives $2.5 Million Order

PHOENIX, Oct. 9, 2006/Satnews Daily/ — Radyne Corp. (NASDAQ:RADN) said on Friday its Tiernan division was awarded an ID/IQ contract for up to $2.5 million of video compression and satellite transmission equipment with the Naval Air Warfare Center.

Radyne said the order for the Tiernan video encoders and decoders, and Radyne satellite modems is the second phase of a program that first began in 2003.

It added the Tiernan compression equipment is uniquely qualified for this special application due to its modular construction and flexible interface capabilities.

“This contract is a vote of confidence by a long time customer in our video encoding and decoding solutions,” said Myron Wagner, Radyne's CEO. He said all of Radyne's divisions offer technology that supports communications needs for military customers in a wide range of mission critical applications.
