Dan Goldberg Stepping Down as President and CEO of SES New Skies |

BETZDORF, Luxembourg, Sept. 11, 2006/Satnews Daily/ — SES Global (Paris:SESG) (LuxX:SESG) announced today that Dan Goldberg, president and chief executive officer of SES New Skies, is leaving the company to pursue another professional opportunity. Andrew M. Browne, the CFO of SES New Skies, will serve as acting CEO until a successor to Goldberg will be appointed. Goldberg's departure will be effective as of September 15, 2006.
In a statement, Dan Goldberg said he leaves New Skies in the midst of another year of strong revenue and EBITDA growth and at a time when the integration of its activities into those of the other SES Group companies is well in hand.
Since the acquisition of New Skies by SES Global, Goldberg had also served as member of the Executive Committee of SES Global. His appointment became effective only on March 30, 2006.
Goldberg was initially general counsel of New Skies as part of the team that established the company in November 1998 and then served as CEO until he assumed his current role as CEO in January 2002.
Goldberg came to New Skies from PanAmSat where he was vice president of Government and Regulatory Affairs and associate general counsel. In addition to managing the company’s Washington, DC office, he was responsible for legislative and regulatory activities at both the domestic and international levels.
Previously, Goldberg was an associate with telecommunications law firm Goldberg, Godles, Wiener & Wright, as well as with Covington & Burling. Mr. Goldberg represented a range of companies while in private law practice, including satellite operators, wireless service providers, broadcasters and computer manufacturers on commercial and regulatory matters.
He obtained an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, graduating with highest honors, and earned a law degree from Harvard Law School where he graduated cum laude.
