Globecomm Receives $11.5-M U.S. Government Satcom Contract

 

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., Aug. 1, 2006/Satnews Daily/ ― Globecomm Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: GCOM) announced today it received an award under a Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract from a U.S. Government customer valued at $11.7 million.

 

Globecomm said the U.S. Government has utilized this IDIQ contract to purchase $21.6 million of satellite infrastructure from the company over the past 19 months, excluding this award. The company currently anticipates executing this entire contract in the current fiscal year ending June 30, 2007.

 

David Hershberg, CEO, said this is the third major contract announcement by Globecomm over the last three weeks.
