End II End Hires Michael Penny to Manage Business Continuity Group

CHARLOTTE, Carolina, June 8, 2006/Satnews Daily/ ― End II End Communications has named Michael Penny director of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery for the Charlotte-based optimization software company. Penny, a 20-year veteran in the IT Lifecycle management sector at DEC, Bull Information Systems and Siemens, will have responsibility for product management and business development for large enterprise clients in North America.

End II End, which offers the enterprise community optimization software that enables common business applications such as Citrix and SAP to run securely and with LAN-like performance over satellite, has been strengthening its business continuity offering since January.

“Mike's hiring represents our full commitment to supporting companies with multiple sites and locations that require a fully-functional office at all times and through any conditions,” said CEO John Dwyer, Jr.

End II End includes among its clients BASF, National Gypsum, Jordache and Swift Energy. Over the past year the company has worked closely with the satellite community to become the applications bridge between the industry and the enterprise customer.  The company recently announced that it has joined the iDirect IP Alliance.

“I believe that remote office continuity is the most critical element to maintain for an enterprise after a disaster or dislocation,” said Penny.
