GlobeCast Launches WING Content Exchange Platform in Asia |

SINGAPORE, May 31, 2006/Satnews Daily/ ― GlobeCast launched on Tuesday WING Content Exchange, its IP-based video exchange and collaboration tool for the broadcast industry in Asia.
Developed for global video contribution, WING Content Exchange is a user-friendly tool to capture, upload and share video between studio and field. Globecast said a camera, a laptop and any wired or wireless connection allow authorized users to upload and exchange media in a unicast or multicast environment on a secure platform.
With servers located at GlobeCast’s Point of Presence (PoP) in Singapore, the company’s key broadcast gateway in Asia, WING Content Exchange will be available to broadcasters throughout Asia using the exceptional quality IP bandwidth that GlobeCast has provisioned for it.
The all digital PoP in Singapore features an extensive regional fiber network connecting it to Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Sydney, and Los Angeles as well as to GlobeCast’s international fiber network and teleports. It and has been designed to support occasional use requirements for news, sports, and events feeds, as well as full time video and audio services. Its adjoining studio offers customers a live standup position overlooking the business district of Singapore and can also be used by corporate customers for Business Television & video conferencing between global offices.
WING Content Exchange was the winner of Cable and Satellite International’s 2005 ‘Product of the Year’ Award for best outside broadcast solution and is also available in Europe and the US.
