LANHAM, MD, May 11, 2006/Satnews Daily/ — The U.S. Air Force has awarded Integral Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ-ISYS) a $21,458,122 contract to modify the Command and Control System-Consolidated (CCS-C) effort in support of its Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) program.
Integral Systems said this action consolidates all CCS-C effort for AEHF Satellite Vehicles 1, 2, and 3 as a cost saving measure and accommodates the current AEHF launch schedule.
The CCS-C program provides an upgraded capability to command and control the Air Force’s communication satellites, including the Defense Satellite Communication System (DSCS), Milstar, AEHF, and Wideband Gapfiller Satellites (WGS).
Steve Roth, Integral’s CCS-C program manager, said Integral is pleased to complete the contract modification to fully support the current AEHF schedule, incorporate the latest AEHF capabilities, and consolidate multiple efforts to reduce the overall life cycle cost of CCS-C.
