IDC’s Profline Operations Awarded Contract for New MPEG4 HE-AAC Satellite Radio Network in Europe

LAS VEGAS, May 4, 2006/Satnews Daily/ — International Datacasting Corp. [TSX: IDC] has announced that PROFLine B.V., IDC’s wholly owned subsidiary and base of operations in Europe, has received a new order from the commercial broadcaster Radio Contact in Belgium, to supply equipment for a major new satellite radio network upgrade.

The order calls for the delivery of PROFLine’s next generation Digital Video Broadcast (DVB) satellite receivers based on the new High Efficiency Advanced Audio Coding industry standard MPEG4 HE AAC and specifically designed for the professional radio broadcast market. PROFLine’s equipment will be used to upgrade the Radio Contact network, primarily in Belgium, and will replace an older generation of technology which has reached end of life.

Radio Contact is one of the largest radio networks in Belgium. According to Francis Lemaire, managing director of Radio Contact and chief architect for the network, PROFLine gave his company a tailor-made and cost-effective solution with an excellent price-performance ratio.

Berry Eskes, PROFLine’s director of marketing and sales, added that with Radio Contact’s next generation DVB satellite receivers with the new MPEG4HE-AAC coding, they now have a highly flexible system architecture that will allow them to easily expand the network with new services in the future.
