ViaSat Reports $111.6-M 3Q 2006 Revenues

 

CARLSBAD, CA, Feb. 13, 2006/Satnews Daily/ — ViaSat Inc. (NASDAQ: VSAT) has announced financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2006 highlighted by quarterly and year-to-date revenues of $111.6 million and $315.7 million, respectively.

 

ViaSat reported net income of $0.26 per share on a pro forma basis or $0.23 per share on a diluted GAAP basis. Year-to-date, the company reported net income of $0.72 per share on a pro forma basis or $0.62 per share on a diluted GAAP basis. The company said it generated almost $11.0 million from operations, bringing the year-to-date total to $30 million.

 

ViaSat said third quarter fiscal 2006 revenue was $6.6 million compared to $5.2 million during the 3Q of 2005. Net Income for the first nine months of fiscal 2006 was $17.8 million compared to $12.5 million in 2005.

 

The company’s government segment also recorded record quarterly and nine-month revenues of $53.2 million and $156.2 million, respectively, a 9.5 percent increase over the third quarter of fiscal year 2005 and a 22.3 percent  increase over the prior nine-month period.

 

For the commercial segment, revenues were $60.2 million for the third quarter, a 46.7 percent increase over the third quarter of fiscal year 2005. Year-to-date commercial segment revenues were $164.7 million, a 25.3 percent increase over prior year primarily due to increase in sales of consumer broadband systems and equipment.
