Globecomm Awarded Two Network Services Contracts Valued at $1.6 Million

 

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., June 2, 2005/Satnews Daily/ — Globecomm Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: GCOM) said its wholly owned subsidiary, Globecomm Network Services Corp. (GNSC), has been awarded two contracts for network services valued at approximately $1.6 million.

 

Under the first contract, GNSC will provide network management services, field installation services and site management services to a major financial institution in the United States (U.S.) for a term of three-years. With the addition of this contract, GNSC will now be managing a total of three major U.S. enterprise customer network contracts.

 

The second contract is to provide satellite uplink, downlink and teleport services to a major branch of the U.S. government military for a twelve-month term.

 

David Hershberg, CEO and chairman of Globecomm Systems Inc., said Globecomm has invested significant amounts of capital over the last five years in GNSC as the company continued to transform its business model from a pure systems integration model to a service oriented model with a more predictable recurring revenue stream.
