MILPITAS, Calif., June 1, 2005/Satnews Daily/ ¾ Globalstar has launched its Express Data service, a subscription-based service that allows users to send email, transfer files and browse the Internet more quickly and efficiently over the Globalstar network.
Globalstar said Express Data is ideal for customers searching for faster satellite data speeds that will allow them to be even more productive from remote areas. The service is available anywhere there is a Globalstar satellite connection, enabling access from remote jobsites and work environments beyond cellular and landline coverage.
For ease of use, Express Data is compatible with many existing web-based email systems, Globalstar said.
“Express data allows our users the increased flexibility to meet new-world communication demands regardless of where they are in the Globalstar network. With the compatibility of our service with existing software applications, users will find it easy to access critical data at any time,” said Dennis Allen, senior vice president, Globalstar LLC.
As an added benefit to customers, higher end plans now include a free subscription for Express Data.
