Major Military Customer Taps Norsat’s Satellite Terminals

 

VANCOUVER, May 26, 2005/Satnews Daily/ ― Norsat International Inc. (TSX – NII.TO; OTC BB – NSATF.OB) has announced that it has shipped portable satellite terminals for use by a military organization in Asia.

 

Norsat said the terminals are expected to enable high data-rate communications among bases. The size of the order is approximately $350,000.

 

Bill Coyne, president and CEO of Norsat, said the shipment is the first major deal with a military organization outside of the U.S. Norsat has built a strong reputation in the field of satellite technology by providing its customers with innovative products and has now sold over 2.5 million products in 87 countries around the world.
