Globecomm Systems SPYGLASS System Cited by LISTnet

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., May 11, 2005/Satnews Daily/ — Globecomm Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:GCOM) said on Tuesday its SPYGLASS carrier monitoring system (CMS) software was awarded a 2005 top software products of the year award by the Long Island Software and Technology Network (LISTnet).

Globecomm's CMS software enables satellite operators, teleport operators and satellite service providers to automatically manage their uplink and downlink satellite carriers' performance using a traditional spectrum analyzer. The graphical user interface provides an easy to use, point and click technique to configure each carrier, while viewing the actual trace on the workstation screen. If any carrier falls outside its user-defined limits, the system activates an alarm condition and notification to alert operations staff to take corrective action.

LISTnet  promotes Long Island as one of the national centers of excellence for Software and Technology solutions. This is achieved by facilitating collaborations between companies, establishing forums and events for the exchange of information, improving the quality/quantity of the labor force and partnering with companies that provide Long Island with all of the necessary services that will promote the continued growth of the software and technology industries.

Ken Miller, president of Globecomm said software tools and software products add value to the company’s solution offerings. He said the company will continue to invest in developing these tools and products in order to increase the value of Globecomm's products and services.
