Connexion by Boeing to Launch High-Speed Internet Service for the Maritime Market |

SEATTLE, Mar. 23, 2005/Satnews Daily/ — Connexion by Boeing, a business unit of The Boeing Company (NYSE: BA), has announced initial pricing and details for its new high-speed Internet service for the maritime market, scheduled for commercial availability this fall.
For a monthly fee of $2,800 per vessel, Connexion by Boeing will provide the terminal equipment necessary to access its full suite of communications capabilities, including high-speed data, voice and fax services, television programming and an innovative fleet-sharing program that allows a customer to share unused system minutes among all vessels within its fleet.

The service will become commercially available this fall. By 2006, Connexion by Boeing's maritime service is expected to cover shipping vessels an estimated 99 percent of the time while those vessels are at sea.
