Hughes Introduces New Broadband Satellite Platform for Smaller Networks

GERMANTOWN, Md., Nov. 15, 2005/Satnews Daily/ — Hughes Network Systems, LLC (HNS) has introduced its new, scalable broadband satellite platform, the DW NOC(CX).

The DW NOC(CX), Hughes said, is the ideal Network Operations Center (NOC) solution for service providers and enterprises with small initial network requirements, yet incorporating all the features and functionality of a large system NOC in a cost-effective and scalable package.

According to Hughes, the DW NOC(CX) is based on the same architecture as HNS' widely deployed larger system, the DW NOC(LX), only optimized for smaller networks. Incorporating numerous advanced features and industry leading acceleration and compression technologies, the compact DW NOC(CX) can be readily expanded as traffic growth justifies, enabling rapid provisioning of the full suite of Direcway services from a single comprehensive platform.

The DW NOC(CX) is housed in a compact, single-rack configuration, Hughes said. With the addition of an expansion rack, it can be readily scaled to manage larger networks while supporting the entire suite of Direcway services.
