Iridium Names Avdata Systems and Advanced Global Communications as New Value-Added Developers |

BETHESDA, MD, Nov. 14, 2005/Satnews Daily/ — Iridium Satellite has announced the appointment of Avdata Systems and Advanced Global Communications (AGCL) as new Value Added-Developers.
Based in Caloundra, Australia, Avdata Systems Pty Ltd. specializes in the development and certification of electronic devices for airborne applications. The company has a focus area in specification and testing of ruggedized enclosures and connectors to protect various airborne hardware platforms. Avdata Systems is also experienced in the installation and maintenance of airborne electronic equipment ranging from communications equipment to engine and trend monitoring systems.
Advanced Global Communications, based in Auckland, New Zealand, provides specialized wireless messaging and mobile tracking solutions to a wide range of users. The company provides an expert service in consulting and contracting for specialized communications and tracking requirements. AGCL partnered with Iridium in promoting Track4000, a popular hardware solution that contains Iridium interface software and a GPS to provide tracking services via the Iridium network.
Iridium established its Value-Added Developer program earlier this year to establish relationships with companies that have a particular technical expertise or capability to develop new products or solutions using the Iridium satellite network.
