ISRO to Develop Radar Imaging Satellite System |

BANGALORE, India, Oct. 7, 2005/Satnews Daily/
— Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is currently working on
developing a Radar Imaging Satellite, an all weather capability
satellite, by 2007, its chairman G Madhavan Nair announced on Thursday.
“The Risat will be configured with a C-band search and rescue mission capable of five imaging modes and three-to-50 meter spatial resolutions. It will have a 10-224km swath with seven days repeativity and eight bits quantization,” the paper said, quoting Nair.
