New Urdu Channel ‘TV One’ Signs on AsiaSat 3S |

HONG KONG, Sept. 21, 2005/Satnews Daily/ —Asia Satellite Telecommunications Company Limited (AsiaSat) and Airwaves Media (Pvt) Ltd. of Pakistan signed on Tuesday a lease agreement for C-band capacity on AsiaSat 3S for digital free to air distribution of a new Urdu television channel, TV One, to Pakistan and over 50 countries and regions in the Asia Pacific.
TV One has commenced broadcasting on AsiaSat 3S, offering a brand new and exciting mix of programming content including news and current affairs, entertainment, drama and music.
Taher A. Khan, chairman of Airwaves Media, said by using a satellite platform and in free to air format, the company is able to rapidly grow its television viewership across Pakistan and beyond.
