Globecomm Revenues Rise 28.3% in 4Q 2005 |

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., Sept. 9, 2005/Satnews Daily/ — Globecomm Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: GCOM) said on Thursday revenues for the company's fiscal 2005 fourth quarter increased 28.3% to $26.7 million, compared to $20.8 million in the same period last year.
Net income for the fourth quarter increased to $1.1 million, or $0.07 per diluted share, compared to net income of $0.4 million, or $0.03 per diluted share, in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2004.
Revenues increased 25.6% to a record $109.6 million, compared to $87.2 million last year. Globecomm said the increase was primarily the result of increased infrastructure sales in the U.S. Government and governmental agencies marketplace, coupled with a general overall improvement in the telecommunications industry segments the company serves.
Net income increased to a record $4.8 million, or $0.32 per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $1.3 million, or $0.10 per diluted share, in fiscal year 2004.
