Westar Satellite, Helius Sign Deal for On-Site Training and Marketing Solutions Worldwide

DALLAS, Aug. 12, 2005/Satnews Daily/ — Westar Satellite Services and Helius, Inc. have signed an agreement that will give companies and government agencies a revolutionary way to send high quality video streams to locations worldwide.

Using Helius' and Westar's technology, the two companies said customers will be able to instantly and cost-effectively send training programs, advertisements, video news releases and product data to thousands of specific sites. Westar Satellite Services is a privately owned North Texas based satellite communications company.

“By combining our technology with Helius' technology, organizations ranging from retail companies to oil and gas businesses will be able to train staff, market products and promote their business,” noted Rob Tannor, president and CEO of Westar. “This system can send video to multiple sites and multiple monitors at each site, through either landlines or wireless, while displaying different content on each display,” he said.

Additional applications for the technology, Helius said, include security and equipment monitoring, digital signage and video conferencing.
