Globecomm Awarded $5.7 Million Contract From a DTH Provider

 

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., Jan. 21/Satnews Daily/ — Globecomm Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:GCOM) said on Thursday it has received a letter of award and Purchase Order valued at $5.7 million from a provider of direct-to-home video services in the Far East. The contract includes $1.4 million in follow-on provisions, which if exercised would bring the total contract value to $7.1 million, Globecomm said.

 

The contract provides for Globecomm will design and build a new direct-to-home uplink facility. The facility will include two thirteen-meter KU band antennas with tracking and all the related sub-systems. Globecomm will also build a program acquisition system with a multi-feed receive only antenna, multiple receive only C band antennas and all related subsystems.
