Satellite Industry Association Announces Three New Members

 

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 20, 2005/Satnews Daily/ — The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) has added three new Associate Members. These are -- IOT Systems LLC, Marshall Communications Corp., and Spacecom Ltd. 

 

SIA executive director David Cavossa welcomed the new members saying, “the addition of these three companies will help expand SIA’s expertise and scope and ensure all sectors of the commercial satellite industry are adequately represented here in D.C. and their voices heard throughout the world”.

 

IOT Systems LLC provides satellite operators and manufacturers with in-orbit spacecraft transponder measurements, processing and control software, and proven hardware design.

 

Marshall Communications Corp. provides high quality satellite based telecommunications systems engineering, integration and networking services to the Government and private sector.

 

Spacecom LTD operator of the AMOS satellites offers high power broadcast and communications services in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, bridging the Atlantic in a single hop.

 

As Associate Members, the three firm will have an opportunity to participate in a broad spectrum of working groups covering regulatory, trade, homeland security, government services, market access, export controls, and legislative issues and events.  Participation in these working groups provides members with the ability to craft industry-wide positions on issues that are important to the economic and strategic success of satellite companies in the marketplace.

 

SIA is a U.S.-based trade association providing worldwide representation of the leading satellite operators, service providers, manufacturers, launch services providers, remote sensing operators, and ground equipment suppliers.  SIA is the unified voice of the U.S. satellite industry on policy, regulatory, and legislative issues affecting the satellite business.
