EADS North America Appoints Guy M. Hicks as Vice President, Communications |

ARLINGTON, Va., Jan. 12/Satnews Daily/ — EADS North America has appointed Guy M. Hicks as vice president, communications for EADS North America, responsible for all communications activities for EADS North America.
Hicks will report directly to David Oliver, COO and executive vice president, EADS North America and will be based in the headquarters of EADS North America in Arlington, Virginia.
Hicks brings over 25 years of marketing, communications and government relations experience in the aerospace, defense and high technology sectors. Preceding his association with EADS North America, Hicks was the vice president of corporate communications and government relations and an elected corporate officer of InterDigital Communications Corp., a Philadelphia-based firm specializing in technology development and products used in wireless communications worldwide.
Hicks began his career as editor of the National Security Record, a publication of the Heritage Foundation, a leading think tank headquartered in Washington, D.C. In 1982, Hicks joined the staff of Congressman Jerry Lewis (R-CA), working on the Appropriations Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. Following government service, he held successive senior marketing and communications positions with the Northrop Grumman Corporation, including Director of Executive Communications, Epicor Software and Electronic Data Systems (EDS).
Hicks was commissioned an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve in 1978 and served with the 11th Special Forces Group, located at Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia. He holds a master's degree in International Relations from the University of Michigan and a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Utah.
