Connexion by Boeing and StarHub to Link Networks for High-Speed Airborne Internet Connectivity

SEATTLE and SINGAPORE, Nov. 23/Satnews Daily/ — Connexion by Boeing, a business unit of Boeing Co. (NYSE:BA), and StarHub, Singapore's integrated info-communications provider, have reached an agreement that adds the Connexion by Boeing’s high-speed Internet service to StarHub's wireless broadband services portfolio. StarHub is the first operator in Southeast Asia to have such an agreement with Connexion by Boeing.

Connexion by Boeing and StarHub said they will now complete compatibility testing necessary to link their networks and provide StarHub account holders with a simplified and seamless solution for accessing the Internet, email and digital content in flight. Upon completion, StarHub account holders will be able to enter their user ID and password to access the service, and they will subsequently receive their billing as an add-on to their existing StarHub bill.

"We're continuing to make strong progress in our efforts with mobile services leaders and now have more than 120 corporate agreements in place, representing nearly 400,000 potential travelers," said Connexion by Boeing vice president of marketing and corporate sales David Friedman.

"Through this partnership with StarHub, and their established position in the Singapore market, we are providing additional billing flexibility and simplicity of use for airline passengers and corporate travelers who want to be affordably connected to the things that are important to them in flight."
