Connexion by Boeing and NTT Communications Agree to Link Networks for High-Speed Internet Access in Flight

 

SEATTLE, Nov. 22/Satnews Daily/ — Connexion by Boeing, a business unit of Boeing (NYSE:BA), and NTT Communications have announced an agreement that will make the Connexion by BoeingSM real-time, high-speed in-flight Internet service available to NTT Communications customers. Based on the terms of the agreement, availability is expected to begin in December 2004.

 

Connexion by Boeing and NTT Communications will link their respective networks, providing NTT Communications customers with a seamless and simplified solution for accessing the Internet when in flight. Passengers who have an NTT Communications account will enter their current Hotspot credentials to access the Connexion by Boeing service, and will receive their billing for service access as an add-on to their existing bill.

 

"NTT Communications serves many of the world's mobile travelers, with more than 25,000 hotspots in 44 countries and regions," said Connexion by Boeing vice president of marketing and direct sales David Friedman.
