Starz Marketing Team Adds Industry Veteran Amy Kuessner

 

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Sept. 23/Satnews Daily/ — Amy Kuessner has joined Starz Encore Group LLC as senior director, program marketing. Starz said this is a newly-created position and an integral component of the new Starz marketing and branding initiatives.

 

Kuessner will report to Bill Brovsky, vice president of tactical marketing, and will develop and execute the successful adoption and deployment of corporate marketing programs.

 

Kuessner was director, acquisition marketing for DirecTV for 8 years before joining Starz. There she developed and managed national and regional advertising, marketing and promotion campaigns to drive customer acquisitions. She also oversaw the retail/consumer launches of DirecTV DVR and DirecTV HD, and developed strategic marketing partnership plans with national retailers including Best Buy and Circuit City. Prior to joining DirecTV, Amy worked at Sony Corp. in their retail entertainment division.

 

A graduate of the University of Maryland, Amy enjoys running, cooking, skiing and most outdoor activities. Kuessner will be working in Englewood, CO at the company's headquarters.
