DigitalGlobe and DMTI Spatial Partner in Satellite Imagery Business |

LONGMONT, Colo., Aug. 10, Satnews Daily/ — DigitalGlobe and DMTI Spatial of Canada have partnered to offer a co-branded satellite imagery and vector data solution for of users from various industries including telecommunications, utilities, public safety, real estate, and federal and local governments.
Through this partnership, DMTI Spatial will integrate QuickBird 60-centimeter resolution satellite imagery with its road network fabric product, CanMap Streetfiles, to create 1:10,000 Ortho Mosaics of major Canadian Metropolitan Areas. DigitalGlobe and DMTI Spatial will provide the co-branded product to customers through direct sales and reseller channels beginning in September 2004.
The partnership will offer applications for any business that relies on location as a component of its operations or planning. For customers requiring assistance in the implementation and customization of the co-branded product, DMTI Spatial and DigitalGlobe will offer professional services tailored to the customer's specific needs, including integration with customer data, DMTI Spatial products or other third-party data.
The co-branded product is expected to strengthen DigitalGlobe's high-resolution satellite imagery and DMTI Spatial's detailed street network data, said Kara John, DMTI Spatial's director, Business Development. "The addition of high-resolution satellite imagery will add even greater value to customer mapping and planning applications," he added. |
