Luis Sahun Named New Managing Director of Astra Marketing Iberica

July 28/Satnews Daily/ -- Luis  Sahun  has  been  appointed  Managing  Director of Astra Marketing Iberica  (Madrid),  the  Spanish  subsidiary  of Luxembourg-based satellite operator  SES  ASTRA, an SES Global company (Euronext Paris, Luxembourg and Frankfurt  Stock Exchanges: SESG).

Luis Sahun will start his new assignment immediately and  will  be  in charge of Customer Relations and Marketing in Spain and Portugal, SES Astra said in a statement. Luis Sahun reports to Alexander Oudendijk, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing at SES Astra.

Prior to joining Astra, Luis gained extensive professional experience as CEO at Quiero TV, as Director of the Audiovisual Unit of  Retevision  S.A.,  as  well as in Senior Management functions at Telsis Sistemas  S.A.,  Ascom  S.A.,  Nortel  Spain, Grupo Radiotronica and Grupo Cables  de Comunicaciones S.A. He has 24 years of experience in the Spanish media & telco market.

Luis is a Spanish citizen aged 49 and holds an Engineering degree in Telecommunications from Polytechnic University of Madrid. He takes over activities from Albert Marti, who decided to end his position as head of the Spanish Marketing Office effective 26^th July 2004.
