OTTAWA, July 21, 2004/Satnews Daily/ -- Ottawa-based SkyWave Mobile Communications Inc. said today it has manufactured, sold, and delivered more than 33,000 terminals making it one of the most successful satellite terminal manufacturer worldwide.

SkyWave, which provides global asset tracking, monitoring and control solutions over land and sea using Inmarsat's D+ low-cost, short-message service said the major achievement corresponds with strong sales growth with SkyWave terminal sales increasing by over 40% in the fiscal quarter to June 30, 2004 from the same quarter of last fiscal year. Typical of SkyWave’s service includes the remote fleet management of trucks, shipboard security alert systems, and tuna fishing buoy sensors.

In addition to terminals, SkyWave provides D+ satellite airtime enabling customers to acquire asset intelligence anytime, anywhere.

SkyWave will launch two new versions of its market leading D+ satellite terminal. The DMR200D and DMR200L will be available in August.
