Agilent Technologies Now Offers Industry’s Deepest-Memory Oscilloscopes

Palo Alto, Calif., July 20/Satnews Daily/ ─ Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) has introduced new memory options for its Infiniium 54830 Series of digital storage and mixed-signal oscilloscopes, making them the deepest-memory oscilloscopes in the industry.

The new options incorporate Agilent’s patented MegaZoom deep-memory technology with depths up to 128 Mpts to enable fast waveform capture of complex signals, instant response and superior ease of use. The options enable advanced measurement performance previously out of reach, helping R&D engineers speed the development of new products within the computer, communications and defense industries.

Ron Nersesian, vice president of Agilent’s Design Validation Unit said the deep-memory technology extends Agilent’s leadership in the 60 MHz to 1 GHz oscilloscope market by enabling measurements that are not possible with traditional oscilloscopes.

The Agilent Infiniium 54830 Series oscilloscopes with bandwidths of 600 MHz and 1 GHz enable R&D engineers to easily capture complex waveforms at the oscilloscope’s full sample rate for time spans in the tens of milliseconds. In addition, the 54830 Series oscilloscopes’ new segmented memory acquisition mode allows engineers analyzing communications or radar signals bursting in nature to capture and store only the periods of activity. This means that acquisition memory is no longer needlessly consumed by periods of inactivity between bursts.
