CapRock Communications Selects David Myers as Vice President of Marketing
 
 
 

HOUSTON, Tex.,  July 6,  2004/Satnews/ Satellite service provider CapRock announced the appointment of David Myers as vice president of marketing. Myers joined the CapRock senior management team to drive the development and promotion of offerings tailored to the requirements of the company's vertical market portfolio - which has expanded to include mining, forestry, emergency response, disaster recovery and government.

 

Myers will be responsible for defining and executing the overall CapRock marketing strategy, as well as managing the company's marketing communications, product management and technical marketing functions.

 

Prior to joining CapRock, Myers served in various senior level roles for Virginia-based Spacenet Inc. As director of marketing and product management, Myers was responsible for the development and launch of a new enterprise-class satellite networking service that became the second largest of its kind, with nearly 10,000 sites sold during the first three years in the market.

 

Myers also has held key positions in strategic planning, product development and sales and marketing with high-tech companies including Compaq Computer Corp. and Omron IDM Controls. Myers holds an MBA from Rice University, as well as a master's in computer information systems from Madison University and undergraduate degrees in marketing and international relations from Southern Methodist University.
