Marc Pircher appointed Chief Technical Officer of Alcatel Space

 

 
PARIS, May 26,  2004/Satnews/   Marc Pircher, 52, will join Alcatel Space, a subsidiary of Alcatel (Paris: CGEP.PA and NYSE: ALA)  as senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer (CTO) effective July 1, 2004.  He will take over from Michel Courtois who will join the European Space Agency (ESA).

Pircher  comes to Alcatel from the French national space agency, Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales (CNES),  where he is currently Director of Launchers of  the Evry Center. He spent  most of his career at CNES.

Pircher holds Masters of Science degrees from Stanford University and France’s premier aeronautical engineering school ENSAE (SUP AERO) in Toulouse, France.
