In his new position, Gove will be responsible for affiliate relations with cable operators including Mediacom, Insight, Bresnan and Cable One. He will also retain responsibility for the National Cable Television Cooperative, the lodging/hospitality sector and the accounts he had previously handled under New Media. Relations with Cablevision Systems Corp., which had been in the national accounts division, will now be managed by division vice president John Ruff who is based in Stamford, CT.

Gove will be based in Denver. Reporting to him will be Starz employees in Denver, Chicago, Atlanta and Hoboken, NJ.

Gove joined Starz in 1999 from the Walt Disney Co. where for 10 years he had been southwest regional director responsible for distribution of the Disney/ABC Cable Networks. Prior to that he worked for Media General Cable in Fairfax, VA. He is a graduate of Colorado State University.
