Stratos Global Corp. (TSX: SGB) announced the
appointment of Cesar Gaitan as Vice President, Technology and
Engineering, Broadband Division. Gaitan will be responsible
for all technical and engineering resources in Stratos'
Houston-based Broadband Division, including the technical
aspects of new product development, operational support, sales
engineering, and management of communications engineering work
for large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
Prior to joining Stratos, Mr.
Gaitan had 15 years of telecommunications experience with
Lucent Technologies (formerly AT&T Bell Labs), most recently
holding technical and profit-and-loss roles in the Caribbean
and Latin America region, with a particular focus on wireless
technology services. Mr. Gaitan holds a B.S. in Electrical
Engineering from the University of Miami, an M.S. in
Telecommunications Networking from Carnegie Mellon University,
and an M.B.A in Management and Strategy Marketing from the
Executive Program at the Kellogg Graduate School of
Management.
