New Skies Satellites N.V. (AEX, NYSE: NSK) announced it has
named Raju Pulugurtha as director of sales for South Asia.
Pulugurtha manages the company's sales and marketing
activities throughout India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka,
Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives and Afghanistan.

Raju's expertise and experience in these markets
will ensure New Skies maintains a strong presence by promoting the strengths
and advantages of our global communications infrastructure for the delivery of
video, Internet, and data and voice services worldwide."
Prior to joining New Skies,
Pulugurtha worked at Intelsat in Washington D.C. for 10 years
as regional director of sales, South Asia. During his tenure
at Intelsat, he worked in India heading up the regional
support center in Chennai.
Pulugurtha
also worked at India's Department of Telecommunications for 10
years, where he was involved in setting up satellite earth
stations in Mumbai and Chennai. He was also involved in the
development of VSAT technology at the Center for Development
of Telematics (C-DOT) in Bangalore.
