TCS Names Michael D. Bristol as Vice President of Its Network Solutions Business

 
ANNAPOLIS, Md.  April 22,  2004/Satnews/ TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) (NASDAQ:TSYS), today announced it has named Michael D. Bristol, Sr. as Vice President for its Network Solutions Group. TCS' Network Solutions Group provides professional services and secure wireless solutions to government and enterprise customers and their industry partners.

Prior to joining TCS, Mr. Bristol worked for six years at Oracle Corporation, the world's largest provider of database products and business applications. Most recently he was the Senior Director responsible for all business development activities for Oracle's Navy/Marine Corps Consulting Business. His team sold software implementation solutions using Oracle's eBusiness Suite of Applications as well as custom software solutions for the Department of Navy.

Prior to Oracle, Mr. Bristol served for nine years as Vice President and COO for Infocus Communications, a privately held multi-media technology company, where he was responsible for all operating divisions. Mr. Bristol served on the Infocus Board of Directors and participated in pre-Initial Public Offering positioning.

Mr. Bristol is an alumnus of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in engineering. He served as a Captain, U.S. Army Military Intelligence, managing an Information Technology support center that provided custom software development, systems integration services, documentation and maintenance. Immediately following his active duty, he was a Director for Atlantic Research Corporation where he specialized in Tempest-certified products.
