Latitude Lands EASA SkyNode Approval


Latitude SkyNode homepage Latitude Technologies has announced that Norway-based Airlift AS has successfully obtained EASA STC “EASA.R.S.01574” for the installation of Latitude Technologies’ SkyNode® S200 Satellite Communications Systems.  The STC covers installations in the Eurocopter EC 225, AS 332 and SA 330 series helicopters.  The original installation was on an AS 332 Super Puma used in extremely remote areas near and above the Arctic Circle where reliable communications and flight tracking are highly critical to aircraft logistics, SAR operations and safety.  The STC can be adapted to other helicopter types and will be available for sale by Airlift.  The SkyNode S200 can be installed by Airlift at their Bygstad, Norway facility or by any EASA Part 145 repair station worldwide. Airlift AS is based at Forde Airport in Bygstad, Norway, and is the largest North European domestic helicopter company and the sole Norwegian government contractor for search and rescue.  The company is part of the Blueway Group and operates 17 of the group’s helicopters.
